Gotta check this squarespace now. • on at 22:50 PM ya u are right so much outdated design she have here sorry Jaime • on at 13:01 PM Nice list! I am currently on Blogger, but in the process of moving over to Squarespace. • on at 16:37 PM I’ve been using SS6 for about 3 months now and let me warn you, it’s still very much a beta product. Tons of bugs. Constant changes that’ll screw up your previous layouts. Just proceed with caution if you’re thinking about switching over. • on at 21:34 PM Square Space – looks like a pretty simple CMS that can create some good stuff. I’m hooked on Concrete5 – super easy & flexible, but good to know what else is out there. • on at 12:58 PM Thanks for featuring me on this list, it’s nice to be in such great company:) I should mention that, even though I’m a very experienced UX/visual design guy, I’ve hardly tweaked my SQSPC template at all. The thing just works – and If I wanted to, I could easily push it harder to make it cooler. But it’s nice to know I don’t have to push hard to maintain a site that all my clients seem to love. I’ve even lost work by pointing folks to SQSPC when it seemed like it would suit their needs! But tools should be shared – and SQSPC has been invaluable for me. Thanks again! • Kevin on at 11:47 AM Hi Jeff: What template did you use for? • on at 22:08 PM Nice list, some excellent designs. We have used Squarespace for our own website as well as for clients and are delighted with the platform so far. • on at 16:46 PM I just launched my website using Squarespace and couldn’t be happier with it! As someone who is a serious technophobe Squarespace made it very easy to set up a clean, well designed site quite quickly. Thanks for the round up of other sites, will check them out now! On at 04:27 AM Nice collection. I really like this site running on Squarespace too. • mark on at 09:17 AM My personal website (static displays) is on SS and I love it, but completely unsuitable for magazine type website without massive tweaking and design. The competition have it all ready off the shelfI don’t want to go elsewheregive us some useful templates Squarespace! • on at 01:18 AM Love Squarespacewe created our magazine page look website using itxoxo • on at 06:41 AM we recently launched our webshop running on squarespace. For a flying start its amazing. We were live in only a couple of days. Very happy with the system, only inventory management is very manual, so when our business grows it makes sense to move over to magento. • Alex Buggot on at 09:03 AM Hi Timon, your website is very beautiful. Did you used some existing template from squarespace or some website designer edited CSS more professionally? I am asking you because I am seeing many details added that are not default in any template on SS. Thank you • on at 11:40 AM Hi Alex, We replaced our SS website with magento. Ecommerce functionality that was required to bring our business to a higher standard was not provided by SS. Think of stock management, layered navigation and we wanted to change some design aspects as well and SS didn’t allow us. To start a commercial site, SS is a perfect platform. When you decide to take your online sales more seriously you need to start using market leading tools to not limit your growth Thanks, Timon • alex on at 05:52 AM Hi Tim. Can I ask how you managed to create the slideshow of your products on your homepage? Ive been trying to do the exact same thing on my squarespace site and have been failing miserably! Hope everythings going great with your business:) Alex • Patrick Kevan on at 08:15 AM Has anyone seen examples of Squarespace sites with a little more text in them? I’m just thinking these templates are fine for image-based sites that will work on multiples devices. But from a search engine point of view, Squarespace doesn’t appear to lend itself to text and typography based sites. • on at 16:41 PM Agreed. I once considered moving to Squarespace, mostly because of the ease at which you seem to be able to create very visually appealing websites, but I also quickly got the impression that more text-heavy, SEO-friendly blogging was easier to manage on, say, a WordPress platform. • lovebug on at 13:39 PM bonjour berry legit says it’s run by wordpress. -___- • on at 10:41 AM I have found Squarespace to be really easy to use and customize for my wedding photography website – • on at 11:16 AM Wow! Amazing what you can do. We used Squarespace for ours too – • on at 14:06 PM Great collection here! Squarespace has been nothing less then amazing for me. Very user friendly and if you know a little coding, you can add some design elements of your own. • Lee Cannon-Miller on at 09:16 AM Hey love your website what template did you use? • on at 12:28 PM Thank you, I’m using the template called “Avenue”. • on at 11:42 AM The sites on this list are a bit outdated. Squarespace has much better templates now (and just updated to a much better interface this year) – I’d definitely recommend it over WordPress for anyone looking for a simple blog or online retail store. It can’t create a logon for users (you can still have a shopping cart for users until they leave the site though), which is the biggest shortcoming I’ve run into. Feel free to check out my site for a better idea of their new templates. • (post author) on at 14:35 PM Hi Matt – we’re aware of this and we’re actually working on a refresh/update to this post. • on at 09:27 AM Lovely collection but like they mentioned, a bit out of date, Squarespace keeps releasing new features and so on, I’m sure we can find some pretty clever designs now! Also, wanted to let you know about, it is literally the easiest way to translate a Squarespace website, you can check out the tutorial here: Thank you! • on at 02:24 AM The webpages look amazing! I am thinking of starting a page with squarspaces for some months now. Maybe its the best solution. Thanks for sharing theses perfect examples! • on at 08:24 AM Great stuff. I use SS for my wedding photography Im looking to move to a new template, but don’t have the time to do it myself. I have a few ideas I need someone to implement but there just doesn’t seem to be the array of designers and developers out there. • on at 21:59 PM I used Squarespace to design my website and I absolutely love it! I considered WordPress, but just fell in love with how clean and modern the Squarespace designs were. It really works great as a blog and portfolio, which I love! Kailanilynn.com • Anna on at 10:27 AM Hey I love the look of your site! I just want to use SS for blogging for now, and was wondering what template you used? • on at 16:05 PM Nice collection of sites. Squarespace seems like a great choice for those seeking a more visually oriented site. We ended up settling on shopify, though, due to having more robust ecom functionality. • on at 09:44 AM These sites are great. We’ve just got ours built using SS and we used to have a video playing in the back ground but it didn’t function well. Has anyone seen a SS site that has a video playing in the background – like on the SS homepage. Also any other feedback would be much appreciated – • on at 15:39 PM Do you mean you want to set a video as the background of the webpage, or you want a video on the page that will auto-play? • on at 15:57 PM I am currently using WordPress and I think it’s great to start with.Though the sites u mentioned who are running with Squarespace looks amazing.I am going to give it a try. • Veta on at 11:35 AM Nice text! Also good Squarespace sites here • on at 20:22 PM Some nice minimalist designs. Thanks for sharing. • on at 17:36 PM Thes websites have incredibly low page loading speeds with Google Page Speed Insights. If Google is ranking them, they are a disaster. • on at 10:05 AM I love the Mash Graphics! I always gravitate towards simplicity and the b&w scheme. Great share btw! • on at 05:02 AM It’s refreshing to see some squarespace designs that are actually inoffensive to the eye. • on at 16:11 PM Reaching the range of information the square space platform is great but tends to box people in on design. Be careful when choosing this platform to build your online coverage. • on at 22:18 PM This is a great collection of themes, I appreciate the fact that they have the responsive functionality going on. • on at 18:30 PM Loved some of these designs, specially Tian Studios. I have my photography working on Squarespace and I was looking for inspiration to make some changes:) • on at 11:17 AM Thank for share all these good websites designs for us. • on at 14:42 PM I started a blog on Squarespace about the process of moving from NYC to a small town in Indiana with less than 3,000 people. I love the look and ease of Squarespace and the customer support there is pretty amazing. But I have been litterally terrified that I may have made a mistake not using WordPress. How can I find a community of Squarespace bloggers who are talking about this? I want to see other great Squarespace blogs! • on at 16:15 PM Awesome collection. I like The Dieline. Good and creative looking. I think its will be better in site. Wc The Dieline designer. • on at 10:58 AM These are some amazing websites! I’ve been using squarespace for years now and could not be happier with the way that it has been moving forward. It’s built on the Haute theme. • on at 03:02 AM Websites designs with squarspaces look great and amazing! I used it also for a wedding photography site. Perfect examples!
